Star Wars

On Wednesday Teetz, Jake and his girlfriend, and I went and saw Star Wars. Now, I really really loved Star Wars 4, 5, and 6. LOVED THEM. Not in the creepy dressing up like the characters and not bathing kind of way, and I think it had a lot to do with Harrison Ford, but I liked them a lot. I really did not like Phantom Menace, thus I did not see the second one, the name of which I do not even remember. Something about clones. Whatever. Anyway, because I am dependent and clingy (with Teetz only at least) we all went to the final installment. Now, the dialogue was choppy and Natalie Portman was really lame, but I think I am in love with Hayden Christensen. Well, his delivery was also very choppy, so maybe I could just look at him and he wouldn't have to speak, ever. Hopefully he isn't really like that in real life. I don't know, this is the first thing I have ever seen him in, and in the scene after he'd killed all the separatist leader guys and he turned and the cloak was half covering his face and his eyes were glowing, WOW. That was the moment I told Teetz the exact words: 'Hayden Christensen can be my baby's daddy'. He was that gorgeous. Teetz just shook his head. I think it's the whole bad-boy thing, because let's face it, he is kind of the ultimate bad guy, I mean, for cryin' out loud, he becomes DARTH VADER. That kind of makes me sound like one of the Star Wars geeks who surrounded us at the movie. One girl was wearing a shirt that said 'I love the dark side'. I wanted to give her a make-over. Of course though, I will have to have the whole set when it comes out, just because, but not for a long long time. I am not going to rush out and buy it the moment it is released, but eventually. The point is this: 'Hayden Christensen' and 'sideways' are two words I would use together in a sentence. Most of you have probably even heard me say it already, thus it needs no explanation.

Next weekend two of my friends from Wabash are coming. I pretty much have been bugging Buttons to come out here for a while, so he and Zach are. It'll be fun, I hope, although it occurred to me after we started getting the details worked out that Lincoln is not always a whole lot of fun unless you're 21, which Zach is not. I suppose I can just throw a party at Teetz's apartment, I know he won't mind ;). In fact, I kind of already started telling a couple people, and if I haven't told you yet, I may or may not, you'll just have to wait and see.

The Huskers dropped their first game in the Big 12 tourney, so we're in the losers bracket. We lost to Texas Tech, then beat Oklahoma. We are playing Tech again as I write this, because they lost to Missouri and it's 0-0. I'm hoping we can fix the big mistake from round 1 and win the championship. Then we'd almost 100% for sure host a regional. However, even that probably is not for sure because the NCAA just seems to hate Nebraska. Doesn't matter what sport, they just don't like us. I guess the fact that we were at one time good at football makes lots of people jealous. I don't see anyone dogging Oklahoma or USC the way they talk shit about us though, but whatever, we can't help we're better than everyone. Especially Oklahoma. I hate Bob Stoops.
